Join us for yoga with Liz Lark at the nature inspired Emerson College, Forest Row, East Sussex Explorative Creative learning centre in the heart of Forest Row, biodynamic farm shop attached within walking distance.

Our College sits within a 22 acre Botanic Garden with beautiful ponds, lawns and flower beds, a vegetable garden, an apple orchard and a wood full of blue bells in spring. 

It has many rare trees and over 100 medicinal plants. This creates a very relaxed environment for all our course participants.

Our venue is simple, natural, with a lot of light.  Free WIFI is available in designated areas. We have ample free parking.

All our land is managed biodynamically and is fully Demeter Certified.

All of our gardens are Demeter Certified and we are one of the first Biodynamic Botanic Gardens in the UK.  Our Vegetable Garden provides fresh vegetables to our kitchen providing soil to table nourishment for our guests.  We have an onsite apothecary garden created by our land partners, The Healing Garden,  where many species of medicinal herbs and plants are preserved and cultivated.

We encourage you to wonder around our 22 acre estate with ponds, small woodland full of bluebells in spring, a medicinal herb garden and many sculptures and flow forms created by our students.

Our kitchen garden supplies our kitchen with fresh vegetables, salads and herbs as well as hundreds of flowers. 

What we can’t grow ourselves we source locally and organically to create our vegetarian meals.

All meals are freshly prepared every day in our kitchen. Our meals are vegetarian and we can also cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegan diets. For those with other special diets we provide self catering facilities.

We support agricultural practices that renew and sustain the soil rather than depleting it.  We have a Kitchen Garden (small biodynamic vegetable garden) here on campus, providing us with fresh greens, lettuces, spinach, tomatoes, flowers and much more! And Tablehurst farm – a community owned biodynamic farm – is just next door to us.

Walk / Run along the Forest Way, enjoy cafes in Forest Row, explore Ashdown Forest, have a treatment in Willow’s Cabin : bring trainers and hiking boots !
